The Temple of Man

South of Cairo far down the Nile river, lies a city by the name of Luxor. Luxor is home to many ancient Egyptian ruins, including the Temple of Man.

The Temple of man was named appropriately after its design. Every piece of this temple was built around the natural structure of our bodies. A human skeleton can be over layed perfectly over this structure. In order to understand why this temple was built we must first begin to understand the complexity of the ancient Egyptian culture.

The ancient Egyptians were incredibly advanced. Giant monolithic pyramids aside, they were very spiritually advanced. Many Egyptian males attended what is now referred to as Egyptian mystery schools. The temple of man was one of these schools. You will find similar temples all over Luxor and all down the Nile. Most of the temples share this humanistic design.

I don't know of any one single text that exists that could describe the curriculum or content of these schools. This is because these schools did not use text. The actual temple was the text. Its walls were scribed with hieroglyphics and its advanced design allowed for greater spiritual understanding.

Every room correlates to a different part of the human body. the bottom room correlates with the left leg, that is the reason it is bent. there are over thirty twenty foot tall statues in that room, each is stepping forward with their left leg at the exact angle of the room. In other words, the bent shape of the room in comparison to the rest of the temple, is to symbolize taking one step forward with your left foot. This has great spiritual symbolism, and this temple gets much, much deeper. I'll write more about it in later articles.

What amazes me the most about all of this, is that there are hundreds of these temples all over the Nile. they have all been stitched together with one road that is lined with either sphinx's or rams. this road goes from the temple of man, under Luxor to a temple on the edge of town. The road is so old, the city has been built over it!

The road continues to yet another huge monolithic temple.

The Egyptian mystery schools taught a way of life more advanced than any social, religious, or institutional education found today. At the rate western spirituality is going, we will never reach the nirvanac peak that ancient cultures achieved thousands of years ago.
