Chicago viewed by night

Chicago viewed by night resembles none other than a half completed death star at the fully operational state. Its dangerous, captivating, vibrant and phallic. I enjoy the city the most at night. This city in particular has a very strong energy flowing through it. Late at night, at just about the right time, the whole city seems to pause in a collaborative moment of silence. Peace comes over the city shortly before our sensitive anticipative ears are struck with the howl of a dozen cabs racing down lake shore chasing a train headed to Howard. I can feel this city.

It has been called the hour of meditation, I like to refer to it as the hour of awakening. Some of us rise to the challenge of a new day, others are just ending a night of late night drinking recklessness. At this time I feel the most awareness of my consciousness than any other time of day or night. Some times around this time I am able to be conscious of my astral body and fly to destinations far beyond the gaze of the Hubble telescope.

Shortly, the calm before the storm is over. A low rumble hum of engines, gears, turbines and valves sliced through a skinny cloud stream like the sears tower. The parking race has begun. It starts early and continues like blue line; every couples of minutes for the rest of the day. The silence was gaged and buried, but the city has birthed the morning commute.
